attempt at consistency: numero cinco
tonight was amazing.
before the service got to talk with guicho.
it is the amazing the connection you have with people when the connecting factor is God.
we watched the nooma video breathe tonight.
my second time seeing it.
it was so powerful.
even more so this second time than the first.
the hebrew name for God is literally described as the sound of breathing.
every breath we breathe we are in fact breathing the very name of our Creator.
believer or not.
rob bell gives the example that an atheists can say “there is no God” and in that very statement he just uttered the name of the God He claims does not exist.
truth is absolute whether you believe it or not.
breathing occurs at the beginning and end of life.
in order to be alive one must breathe.
when one dies he is no longer able to breathe.
but in light of our breaths being the name of God, rob suggests that rather life begins by saying the name of God and ends when we are no longer able to say our Creators name.
every single person has this breath, this presence of God in them.
God is everywhere.
brings new meaning to the song “this is the air we breathe”
i am merely scratching the surface of what was presented in this video.
i am so in awe.
so amazed.
dumbfounded.
thankful.
humbled.
by my Lord’s love.
His power.
compassion.
mercy.
ability to forgive.
may we
may i
learn to breathe in deep the name of God
and perhaps exhale that which may be troubling us
i have nothing more to say.
i have done such an injustice to what and who God is.
He is so much more than could ever be imagined by humanity.
